The Sana’a forces revealed on Monday the fate of a number of leaders of the Saudi-loyal forces whom they captured during the ongoing confrontations in the vicinity of Taiz city.
Exclusive Follow-ups — Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
The video shows a number of captives, among them the commander of the Special Forces in Taiz, Jamil Ahmed Ghaleb Aqlan, Mujib Al-Rahman Al-Salwi, the commander of what is known as the Salw resistance, and Aref Mohammed Hizam, a company commander in the 35th Brigade, along with a number of other leaders and field officials.
The publication of the clip, according to what the Media Office of the Sana’a authority in Taiz reported, comes in the context of reassuring the families and relatives of the captives regarding their fate, in light of the continuation of the confrontations on the Taiz fronts.
The Sana’a forces had called on the leadership of the Saudi-loyal forces stationed in the city to reach a settlement to spare Taiz further fighting, which included, according to the announced proposal, the option of handing over the weapons in exchange for guaranteeing their inclusion in the general amnesty, or securing their exit from the city toward Aden with their weapons.
According to the received information, the call was met with rejection, while the confrontations continue amid the escalation of military mobilizations in the vicinity of the city.
