Report The aggression on Iran depletes American weapons stockpiles

American press reports have revealed increasing pressures on US weapons and ammunition stockpiles as a result of the aggression on Iran, amid moves by the US Department of War “Pentagon” to accelerate weapons production and delivery and compensate for what is being consumed in military operations.

The Washington Post reported that the US Deputy Secretary of War, Steve Feinberg, issued a memo to military industrial companies, giving them 21 days to submit plans aimed at significantly reducing the time required for the production and delivery of weapons and ammunition.
Feinberg affirmed, according to the newspaper, that manufacturing cycles taking years are no longer suitable for current military requirements, demanding that companies increase their production capacities and accelerate delivery processes, giving priority to a number of weapons programs, including the next generation of interceptor missiles.
These directives come as Washington faces increasing pressures due to the massive consumption of missiles and ammunition during the war on Iran, coinciding with the redeployment of forces, ships, aircraft, and air defense systems from various regions around the world to the Middle East.
In the context, the New York Times quoted senior American officials as saying that weapons and ammunition stockpiles have reached concerning levels, prompting the Pentagon to transfer quantities of ammunition designated for US forces in Asia and Europe to the Middle East.
The officials added that the US has also redeployed ships, aircraft, and air defense units from Europe and Asia, which has reflected on equipment maintenance operations and the readiness of US forces in other regions.
The newspaper indicated that the Indo-Pacific Command has become a primary source of ammunition used in operations against Iran, amid the redistribution of stockpiles between theaters of operations, which may impose pressures on the readiness of US forces in other regions.
