Iran prepares to shift confrontation strategy with America as the latter deploys more battleships

Tension returned to loom over the forefront of the Middle East scene on Thursday, with anticipation of a new round of fighting amid continued political deadlock.

In Iran, advisors to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Mojtaba Khamenei, revealed preparations for a shift in the war strategy against the US.
Iranian media quoted Mohammed Mokhber as saying that the Leader’s new strategy, which he described as decisive, includes transforming the war path to an offensive approach if Iran’s conditions are not met.
Mokhber considered the step would create a significant shift in the balance of power.
These statements came in parallel with other statements by the Leader’s advisors calling on citizens in Iran to prepare for the worst scenarios. All this comes amid the exchange of military messages between Washington and Tehran. Alireza Sheikh, the assistant to the Iranian army commander, affirmed that about 75% of Iranian missiles remain intact, in response to Trump’s statements in which he tried to showcase the end of Iranian missiles.
Iran had begun wide-scale changes in the ranks of its military leadership, establishing a joint command encompassing the army and the Revolutionary Guard, following appointments that escalated the most prominent figures known for their hardline stance towards America to the leadership of the military scene.
These developments come amid the continued diplomatic deadlock between America and Iran, as Iranian forces renewed their confirmation of closing the Strait of Hormuz and preventing ships from crossing without prior permission, according to statements by the Khatam Al-Anbiya Headquarters.
America had pushed a new round of Pakistani mediation in recent days, as Pakistani Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited Tehran and met with several leaders.
