The Iranian Navy vowed to soon unveil a weapon it described as a major source of panic for enemies, affirming that this weapon is now within their close range, in reference to a new escalatory path in Iranian military capabilities.
The commander of the Iranian navy’s naval force, Shahram Irani, stated that the upcoming announcement could be shocking, adding that his country’s adversaries will face a major surprise upon its disclosure, without providing further details about its nature or specifications.
In the context of his remarks, Irani indicated that previous estimates by adversaries had bet on resolving any confrontation with Iran within a few days, considering that these estimates have become a subject of ridicule in military circles.
He revealed that seven missile operations were carried out targeting the American aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln during a previous period, explaining that those strikes affected its operational capability and temporarily prevented it from carrying out air operations, according to what he mentioned.
He added that US forces were later forced to reinforce their naval presence and carry out maintenance work, pointing out that the Strait of Hormuz was closed from the Arabian Sea side, with a warning of a swift response to any additional advance by enemy forces.
