Intelligence report Iran still retains significant military power

CNN quoted three informed American intelligence sources that more than half of Iran’s missile launch platforms remain intact, while thousands of one-way attack drones are still in Iran’s arsenal, despite the daily bombing carried out by the US and Israel on military targets over the past five weeks.
One of these sources said of Iran: “It is still in a position to cause massive destruction across the region.”
The intelligence information indicated that the American assessment may also include launch platforms that are currently difficult to access, such as those buried underground.
Two sources also clarified that thousands of Iranian drones still exist, approximately 50% of the country’s capabilities in this field, according to what intelligence data has shown.
The information, gathered in recent days, revealed that a large percentage of Iran’s coastal defense cruise missiles remain intact, which is consistent with the American aerial campaign not focusing on coastal military assets, despite targeting some ships.
These missiles are a key capability enabling Iran to threaten navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, according to the network.
These data suggest that the intelligence assessment provides a more accurate and complex picture of Iran’s ongoing capabilities, compared to the comprehensive assessments of military victory claimed and publicly promoted by US President Donald Trump and officials in his administration.
In a related context, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps had previously stated, saying, “Iran’s military power was beyond the estimates of the US and the Israeli entity,” adding, “We have set a long-term vision to drain the power of the Israeli entity and the American army in the region to prepare the conditions for the final battle,” and affirming, “The US doesn’t know Iran’s capabilities, but it will see them on the battlefield.”
