Saudi apprehension of an Emirati role behind a rapprochement between Sana’a and Aden escalated on Sunday, in light of accelerating developments in the south and north.

High-level sources in the Transitional Council revealed that Saudi intelligence has begun communicating with leaders affiliated with it in the Transitional Council to ascertain whether there are contacts between council leaders and the “Houthis,” in addition to recruiting prominent figures to trace the threads of any communication between the two parties.
Saudi elites had begun a new attack on the UAE against the backdrop of what is happening in Yemen, accusing the UAE of being involved in a rapprochement between Sana’a and Aden to target Saudi Arabia.
These developments come amid accelerating shifts in the Yemeni scene; the Transitional Council, loyal to the UAE, is moving at an accelerated pace to regain its areas of influence in the south and east of the country, following the Saudi campaign against it earlier this year.
The Council has escalated the pace of escalation in cities in the south and east of the country, reaching the point of imposing civil disobedience in the main provincial centers, especially Aden and Hadhramaut.
