Exclusive Follow-ups – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
Crude oil prices jumped, coinciding with the continued closure of the Strait of Hormuz, and following news of the targeting of new ships violating Iranian rules.
Brent crude recorded a rise of 2.96% to reach $84.64 per barrel, with a similar rise for US crude futures.
This jump in prices comes after operations targeting ships described as “violating” the navigation rules imposed by Iran in the strait, continuing the war that has entered its sixth month and effectively closed one of the world’s most important energy passages, which transports about a fifth of global oil and gas supplies.
