The Zionist occupation authorities have cancelled travel for patients from Gaza

The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced on Sunday the cancellation of all patient travel scheduled for that day due to the lack of necessary security clearances from the Israeli authorities.

In a press statement, the Ministry explained that the primary reason for the delays in patient travel and their inability to access treatment is the limited number of patients permitted to travel, coupled with the lengthy waiting period for security approvals, which can extend for months.

The Ministry added that it had submitted approximately 70 urgent requests for life-saving treatment in recent weeks, but received only five security approvals, thus depriving dozens of patients of timely access to necessary medical care.

The Ministry of Health reiterated its appeal to international bodies and UN organizations for urgent intervention to increase the number of patients permitted to travel, reduce waiting times for security approvals, and expedite travel procedures for life-saving cases.
