Exclusive Follow-ups – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
The American newspaper “The New York Times” revealed today deep concerns among US allies that Washington is heading towards a strategic defeat in its war on Iran, with continued failure to achieve the war’s objectives.
The newspaper quoted American officials and allies as saying that Trump’s war on Iran shows that the inability to achieve sustainable change in Tehran has revealed a strategic weakness that Russia and China will welcome, a scene reflecting the exposure of American hegemony and its declining ability to impose its will in the region.
The newspaper added that Trump’s objectives in the war on Iran remain unachieved, while the US military suffers from a shortage of weapons, after the depletion of “Patriot” and “THAAD” interceptor missile stockpiles and declining defensive capabilities.
The newspaper pointed out that the war on Iran has left both the US and “Israel” in a weaker position, as they exchange accusations over this chaos, while voices calling for ending the war and focusing on national interests are rising, amid growing concerns that continued escalation will lead to further human and material losses, without any strategic gains.
