Two people were killed and six others wounded on Sunday in Israeli airstrikes on three towns in southern and eastern Lebanon, the latest violation of the ceasefire agreement.
In the latest attack, the Lebanese Ministry of Health stated that an Israeli airstrike on the al-Shaara area of Janta, in the Baalbek district (east),wounded one person.
Meanwhile, the official Lebanese National News Agency reported that one person was killed in an airstrike targeting a car at the Dardaghia intersection in the Tyre district (south).
Following the airstrike, the Israeli army acknowledged carrying out the attack in a statement, saying it targeted a “terrorist element in the al-Baziwiya area (Tyre district) in southern Lebanon.”
The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced in a statement that one person was killed and another injured in an Israeli airstrike targeting the area between the towns of Khirbet Selm and Kfardounine in the Bint Jbeil district of Nabatieh Governorate, in southern Lebanon.
Later, the ministry issued a second statement reporting that the airstrike resulted in one death and five injuries.
Tel Aviv violates the ceasefire agreement with Hezbollah, in place since late November 2014, on a daily basis, resulting in hundreds of deaths and injuries, as well as widespread destruction. Israel also continues to occupy five Lebanese hills it seized during the last war, adding to other Lebanese territories it has occupied for decades.
