UNRWA The West Bank witnesses the largest displacement operation since 1967 and settler attacks have become normal
Occupied Palestine – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) issued warnings in the strongest terms, confirming that the West Bank is reeling under unprecedented levels of violence that have resulted in the martyrdom of more than a thousand Palestinians, a quarter of them children, since October 2023.
The agency explained that the region is currently witnessing the largest forced displacement operation of the population since 1967, amid the continuation of the Israeli “Iron Wall” operation, which has been ongoing for about a year, leaving tens of thousands of displaced people facing a systematic home demolition policy aimed at preventing them from returning to their homes.
In a related context, UNRWA emphasized the seriousness of the continuation of settler attacks and the prevalence of a culture of impunity, pointing out that disregard for international humanitarian law has become a customary behavior amid international silence regarding these violations.
