Iran Washington is responsible for stopping the aggression on Lebanon and the Strait of Hormuz is an Iranian affair

The spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Esmaeil Baghaei, affirmed on Tuesday that the US bears responsibility for stopping the Israeli aggression on Lebanon, as the other party in the memorandum of understanding, stressing that Washington committed to ending the war and must fulfill its obligations.

Baghaei explained in a press conference that the upcoming Doha talks between Iranian and Qatari officials, without American participation, will be limited to implementing the terms of the memorandum of understanding, including the release of frozen Iranian assets in coordination with the Qatari side, affirming Iran’s commitment to the principle of step-by-step.
Baghaei warned that the continuation of American violations would hinder the negotiation path, indicating that Tehran will respond to any “aggressive action.”
Regarding the Strait of Hormuz, the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman said that his country is aware of its responsibility in managing the strait and doesn’t need any party’s intervention in this framework.
He indicated that the removal of mines from the Strait of Hormuz is an Iranian affair that doesn’t require external intervention.
Baghaei accused the NATO alliance of complicity in the aggression against Iran, announcing his country’s intention to pursue this before international courts. He also held Washington responsible for Israeli movements in Syria, considering them a violation of Syrian sovereignty and a threat to the security of the region.
On the economic front, he said that the sale of Iranian oil and oil products has become “easier,” referring to the beginning of the implementation of terms related to lifting the oil embargo, affirming the continued prevention of the International Atomic Energy Agency’s access to damaged Iranian nuclear sites.
