Iran warns of a harsh response if the oil facilities on Kharg Island are targeted

Tehran – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
The spokesman for the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi, warned that any American assault on the oil facilities of Kharg Island will be met with a direct and harsh response.
Shekarchi stated that targeting Kharg Island or its oil port would immediately lead to turning all oil and gas installations in the country from which the aggression is launched into “a heap of ashes,” referring to a broad military response that could target energy infrastructure.
Kharg Island is considered one of the most vital centers for exporting Iranian oil in the Gulf, through which a large percentage of the country’s oil exports pass, making it a strategic location in the regional energy equation.
