Two prisoners from Gaza released

Israeli occupation forces released two Palestinian prisoners from the Gaza Strip on Sunday evening. The prisoners, who had been detained since October 7, 2023, were transferred to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah for medical treatment.

The prisoners arrived at the hospital accompanied by staff from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC),which confirmed that it facilitated their release from Israeli prisons and their transfer to the medical facility in the central Gaza Strip.

Since October 7, 2023, the Gaza Strip has been witnessing large-scale Israeli military operations, which, according to Palestinian sources, have resulted in more than 243,000 martyrs and wounded, most of them children and women, in addition to more than 8,000 missing persons, and hundreds of thousands of displaced persons, as well as widespread destruction of infrastructure, homes and facilities, amid warnings of serious humanitarian repercussions and a famine that has claimed the lives of a number of civilians, including children.
