Follow-ups — Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
A number of Turkish aircraft responded to Sana’a’s warnings against heading toward the airports of the Saudi Kingdom, and this is what the major disruption witnessed in the movement of aircraft between Turkey and Saudi Arabia at dawn today, Thursday, confirmed.
Flights belonging to Turkish Airlines and the AJet company were forced to change their routes and return to Istanbul airports, while heading to Riyadh, as the Novosti agency quoted two sources at Istanbul airports that the two flights of Turkish Airlines TK246 and TK140 returned to Istanbul Airport, after they had earlier departed toward the Saudi capital.
One of the sources explained to Novosti that the first flight returned about 35 minutes after its takeoff, while the second flight continued flying for about two hours before it changed its route while it was in the airspace of northern Saudi Arabia.
The VF213 flight belonging to the AJet company also returned to Istanbul about 50 minutes after its takeoff from Sabiha Gokcen Airport, while a flight of the Pegasus company that was scheduled to take off at 00:25 Moscow time was postponed to 05:15.
These developments come following the announcement by the Sana’a forces of targeting Abha, Jazan, and Najran airports with ballistic missiles and drones, in conjunction with the warning to airlines against using Saudi airspace with the exception of the airspace of Mecca and Medina.
