The occupation delivers 54 bodies

On Wednesday evening, Israeli occupation forces handed over the bodies of 54 Palestinian martyrs from the Gaza Strip as part of the prisoner exchange agreement and the ceasefire.

The Ministry of Health stated in a press release that 54 bodies arrived at Al-Shifa Medical Complex, along with 66 boxes containing human remains and organs, which were released through the International Committee of the Red Cross by the Israeli occupation authorities.

The Ministry explained that medical teams are continuing to handle the bodies according to established medical procedures and protocols, in coordination with relevant authorities and committees, in preparation for completing the examination and documentation processes and handing the bodies over to the families of the martyrs.

In the same context, the Committee for Missing Persons and Unidentified Bodies at the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced on Monday the activation of the identification unit for the bodies of fifteen martyrs that were received from the occupation authorities on January 30.
