Suspicious US movements continue in the vicinity of Yemen
According to a statement made by the commander of the US Fifth Fleet after the arrival of 3,000 American soldiers to the fleet, the US is establishing a permanent military presence in the Middle East in a region filled with tensions and disturbances.

As part of a strategy to bolster US forces in the Middle East, Timothy Hawkins, a spokesman for the Fifth Fleet, said following the announcement of the arrival of 3000 American soldiers and two aircraft carriers to the Red Sea and Gulf, that this force is a precursor to a long-term military presence in the region.
The US official clarified that the “main objective of the additional forces is to give more options and flexibility for decision-makers in Washington and field leaders” to confront any problem, as he said. This clarification, however, has its own connotations due to its association with the Israeli Broadcasting Authority.
Hawkins also pointed out that “in the coming days, the forces will conduct exercises, among other things, with partners, as well as field operations, to provide regional security and stability,” according to his expression.
The US doesn’t hide that one of the tasks of its new forces is what it calls deterring Iran and confronting threats in the Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz, down to the Bab Al-Mandeb Strait. Tehran is also aware of the reality of the American presence and its agenda.
Ramadan Sharif, a spokesman for the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, warned the American forces against intercepting or detaining any Iranian ships and emphasized that any actions would be face with a similar response.
