The Yemeni forces in Sana’a announced today, Monday, the execution of a qualitative and large-scale military operation that targeted military facilities and infrastructure at King Khalid Air Base in the Khamis Mushait area deep inside Saudi Arabia, in response to the intensive airstrikes carried out by Saudi aircraft over the past days.
Sana’a – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
Brigadier General Yahya Saree, spokesman for the Yemeni forces, stated that the operation was carried out with dozens of ballistic missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles (drones),achieving precise and direct hits that caused major losses at the base, striking fighter aircraft hangars, radars, runways, and ammunition depots, in addition to other military targets.
The statement clarified that this direct strike came in response to “the significant escalation by the Saudi enemy, which consisted of launching more than 300 air raids during the past five days,” using “F15” and “Typhoon” fighter jets that took off from the Khamis Mushait and Taif bases and targeted most Yemeni provinces.
The Armed Forces affirmed “the continuation of their qualitative military operations towards the Saudi depth as long as the aggression and blockade continue,” stressing that any new escalation will be met with broader and harsher operations, while maintaining the equation of “blockade for blockade and escalation for escalation” and targeting “the enemy’s mobilizations until the complete halt of the aggression and the lifting of the blockade.”
