Seven Palestinians injured by Israeli fire in Gaza

Seven Palestinians were wounded by Israeli army fire on Sunday morning in various parts of the Gaza Strip, including areas from which the Israeli forces withdrew under the ceasefire agreement with the resistance.

A source at the Baptist Hospital in Gaza City said that three Palestinians were wounded by Israeli drone fire targeting a group of young men in the car market area of ​​the Zeitoun neighborhood in Gaza City.

Two other Palestinians were wounded by Israeli fire outside their deployment zones in the al-Mawasi area of ​​Khan Younis, in the southern Gaza Strip. The wounded were transferred to Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis for treatment.

Anadolu Agency quoted a hospital source as saying that 19-year-old Iman Bahaa al-Aqqad was shot in the chest by Israeli forces while in the al-Mawasi area. Her injuries were described as moderate.

In the central Gaza Strip, a medical source at al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital said that a Palestinian man was shot in the head by Israeli forces in Deir al-Balah. His injuries were described as serious.

Eyewitnesses reported that an Israeli drone opened fire on a man in al-Mazra’a Street in Deir al-Balah.

Meanwhile, an Al Jazeera correspondent reported that Israeli artillery shelling targeted civilian homes in the Bani Suheila area, within the Israeli-controlled zone east of Khan Younis.

This comes as part of Israel’s ongoing violations of the ceasefire agreement that went into effect on October 10, 2015.
