Saudi Arabia Preempts the Fall of Aden with Retaliatory Operations
Saudi Arabia began on Saturday desperate attempts to slow the accelerating advance of the Sana’a forces toward the city of Aden, the last of its strongholds in southern Yemen.
Exclusive — Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
During the recent hours, Saudi Arabia carried out a new strategy represented in destroying all the bridges and vital roads linking Aden and the cities adjacent to it.
During the recent hours, Saudi aviation launched dozens of airstrikes and with large bombs, most of which focused on the Hayjat Al-Abd road, the most important vital road linking the districts of southern Taiz and western Lahj, reaching Aden.
Photos circulated by activists showed unprecedented destruction of the mountainous road that serves as a lifeline between southern and western Yemen.
The airstrikes on the Hayjat Al-Abd road came with the Sana’a forces tightening their control over a new district in the depth of Lahj and important heights on the outskirts of Aden.
Although the Saudi narrative tries to justify the destruction of the road, whose repair needs years, with claims of cutting the “Houthis” supply lines toward Al-Maqatirah, the existence of another branch road that includes Al-Duha and Karabah blows up the Saudi propaganda and reveals its attempt to take revenge by destroying the largest amount of the country’s capabilities in preparation – as it appears – for leaving the country, given that destroying the roads and bridges slows the accelerating advance toward Aden without preventing the process of its liberation.
