Saudi Arabia complains about the Houthis to Britain

On Sunday, Saudi Arabia complained to Britain about Yemen for the first time since the truce agreement between the two parties. This coincides with developments in the region amidst the Kingdom’s fears of Sana’a entering the line of regional confrontations with force.
Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
Saudi Arabia and Britain issued a joint statement on behalf of the Gulf Cooperation Council that includes a condemnation of any actions related to closing the Bab Al-Mandeb Strait.
Mentioning Bab Al-Mandeb in the context of a lengthy statement about developments with Iran and the closure of Hormuz came despite the fact that this important passage hasn’t witnessed any developments since Yemen’s decision to halt its operations supporting Gaza months ago.
The statement reflects, according to experts, escalating Saudi fears of Yemen’s decision to enter the line of confrontations with Iran by closing the last outlet for Saudi oil in the region.
Sana’a, through the advisor to the Supreme Political Council, Mohammed Tahir An’am, renewed its warning against the consequences of Saudi Arabia’s involvement in the aggression.
An’am hinted at halting oil exports via the Red Sea in response to Saudi entanglement in any aggression.
It is noteworthy that Britain sponsored the Hudaydah agreement years ago, currently holds the Yemeni file at the UN Security Council, and is one of the countries in the International Quad on Yemen.
