Sana a Reveals New Destinations for Its International Airport

Sana’a revealed new arrangements regarding the international airport on Sunday. This coincides with its escalation to lift the siege.

The airport director, Khaled Al-Shaif, stated in a press statement that the arrangements include new destinations for the airport, indicating that they will be announced.
Al-Shaif affirmed that airport flights will not be limited to the Sana’a-Tehran route, considering the measure completely legal.
Al-Shaif’s statements came following the first landing of an Iranian aircraft in Sana’a since the declaration of the Saudi war on Yemen over a decade ago. The aircraft, belonging to “Mahan Air,” transported dozens of wounded and sick individuals.
Al-Shaif’s statements indicate Sana’a’s decision to open the airport by force, whatever the cost.
Yemen recently began an escalation campaign against the Saudi siege on its airports and ports.
A state of tension prevailed at the start of the week following an attempt by Saudi fighter jets to intercept the Iranian aircraft, forcing the Yemeni forces to repel them and expel them from the airspace by force.
