The Revolutionary Guard Restores Control of Hormuz After a Fierce Battle in Which It Disabled Two Ships

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard confirmed on Sunday that it had regained control of the Strait of Hormuz. This comes following American attempts to open it by force.

In a statement, it announced that its forces had full control of the strait, affirming that the only safe route remains the one designated and declared by Iran.
The Revolutionary Guard’s announcement came following confrontations in the strait after an American attempt to open it by force.
The Revolutionary Guard confirmed that two ships were involved in an unspecified incident, forcing them to remain in the southern strait, while two others retreated after attempting to cross the southern route designated by America.
It did not specify the nature of the incident, but media reports spoke of confrontations with American forces following the latter’s attempt to facilitate the passage of four oil tankers through the southern route by force.
American forces had switched off the tracking devices of the aforementioned ships.
The Strait of Hormuz is one of several fronts Iran is currently fighting in the face of American aggression. American forces are attempting to impose their control over a part of the strait off the Omani coast, which Iran refuses, as it considers America a non-riparian state with no right to intervene in the strait.
