Revolutionary Guard Navy Commander No hostile ship will be able to cross the Strait of Hormuz
Ali Reza Tangsiri, the commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard’s Naval Force, warned against the passage of any ship linked to the countries aggressing against Iran through the Strait of Hormuz, affirming that this will not be permitted under any circumstances.
Follow-ups – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
Tangsiri said that this warning had been announced since the beginning of the war, adding, “No ship linked to the aggressors against Iran has the right to cross the Strait of Hormuz. If you have the slightest doubt, approach the strait and try.”
The Iranian commander pointed out that the strait is under continuous Iranian intelligence surveillance around the clock, covering the surface, air, and even underwater, to ensure the security of this vital waterway.
He also explained that the “Defense and Offense” maneuvers concerning the Persian Gulf islands will be conducted in the Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz as part of the naval forces’ annual program, affirming that these islands are “impregnable fortresses” and that defending them and the strait is a primary mission of the Revolutionary Guard’s Naval Force.
He added that the drills focus on enhancing the operational response speed of Revolutionary Guard units in the face of any maritime threats, noting that rapid intervention units are training on various scenarios, including inspecting non-compliant ships or confiscating them when necessary, in coordination with the authorities concerned with navigation safety.
Tangsiri confirmed that the Strait of Hormuz is one of the most important maritime passages in the world, with more than 80 oil tankers and commercial ships crossing it daily, making it a major artery for global trade, stressing Iran’s commitment to ensuring its security for countries with legitimate interests.
