The Revolutionary Guard announces the downing of the fourth American F 18 fighter jet
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in Iran announced today, Thursday, that an American F-18 fighter jet was hit in the skies of the city of Jabhar, leading to its crash in the Indian Ocean this afternoon, a new qualitative achievement for Iranian air defenses that continue to prove their ability to confront the most advanced warplanes.
Tehran – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
The Revolutionary Guard clarified in a military statement that this downed American fighter is the fourth of its kind among strategic aircraft belonging to the American and Zionist armies to be hit by Iranian strikes during the “True Promise 4” battle, a clear indication of the significant development achieved by Iranian air defense systems and their ability to detect, track, and down advanced fighter jets.
This qualitative operation comes within the series of ongoing operations launched by Iran in response to the American-Israeli aggression, as Iranian air defenses have previously downed several manned and unmanned American and Israeli aircraft during the confrontation, affirming the ability of the Iranian armed forces to confront and down advanced American military technology, reflecting a shift in the balance of air and defensive power in Tehran’s favor, thereby limiting the effectiveness of American and Israeli air superiority.
