The deputy minister of foreign affairs in the Sana’a government warned the Saudi regime on Monday that “its procrastination in establishing peace in Yemen will push us to resort to other options to end the suffering of the Yemeni people and restore their rights” in two identical letters sent to the president of the Security Council and the secretary-general of the UN.
Sana’a – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
The two letters stated that “the state of neither peace nor war has become completely unacceptable,” pointing out that “the continuation of the unjust blockade imposed on the Yemeni people since March 26, 2015, doesn’t serve international peace and security.”
The Deputy Minister affirmed that the continuation of these unjust measures (by the Americans and their tools in the region, foremost the Saudi regime) “will negatively affect stability in the region and the global economy.”
The two letters called on the UN to “alert the Saudi regime that its ambitions to build its projects on the ruins of countries it contributes to destroying (serving American interests) are nothing but a fantasy.” The Deputy Minister considered that “the continuation of hostile activities will cause greater harm to the region, and the consequences will be catastrophic.”
The deputy minister of foreign affairs pointed out that Sana’a “is monitoring the events and developments occurring in the region, which have cast their negative shadow on the global economy,” warning that the continuation of aggression and blockade will not only prolong the war but will also trigger new situations with dire consequences.
