The Israeli occupation army continues to violate the fragile ceasefire in Gaza, launching air, land, and sea attacks on Rafah, eastern Gaza, al-Bureij refugee camp, and Khan Younis, targeting buildings and shelters for displaced people.
Local sources reported the death of 27-year-old Basma Aram Banat, who was shot by Israeli occupation forces near the town of Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip.
During the night, the occupation army demolished residential buildings in the eastern part of the Strip, while also targeting shelters for displaced people. These operations escalated on the fifth day of Ramadan.
Eyewitnesses reported that Israeli warplanes targeted the eastern areas of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.
According to the same source, army vehicles also fired heavily toward the eastern areas of Khan Younis, while naval forces fired toward the city’s beach.
In Gaza City, Israeli warplanes launched airstrikes on the eastern areas, coinciding with sporadic artillery shelling of the same area, according to witnesses.
This escalation comes at a time when human suffering continues, with the Rafah crossing operating on a limited basis in both directions, and the occupation army’s failure to comply with the terms of the ceasefire agreement regarding the entry of humanitarian aid, goods trucks, fuel, and the transfer of patients and the wounded out of the affected hospitals.
