Ongoing challenges near the yellow line in Gaza

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said that the organization and its humanitarian partners continue to face significant challenges in reaching the local communities near the “Yellow Line” in northern Rafah in the Gaza Strip. At the daily press conference, the deputy spokesman for the United Nations, Farhan Haq, said that the OCHA office and humanitarian partners held consultations with representatives of 17 displaced persons sites, after reports of 3,000 families. Movements of Israeli forces and unrest in the humanitarian services in the region. Haq added that representatives of the local communities reported that the yellow blocks that determined the line had been moved toward the north, and indicated daily movements of Israeli tanks, the construction of sand berms, and frequent shootings. He stated that it was reported that families accompanies their tents for most hours of the day, for fear of being hit by gunfire or reckless bullets.
