The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor called on the international community to impose comprehensive sanctions on the occupation, including an arms embargo, the cessation of all forms of political, financial, and military cooperation and support, the freezing of assets of officials involved in crimes against Palestinians, and travel bans on them, in addition to suspending trade agreements and economic privileges that enable the occupation to continue committing its violations.
The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor emphasized that the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) report, which warned of an imminent famine threatening the entire population of the Gaza Strip due to the stifling blockade, clearly proves that the Zionist occupation is using starvation as a systematic weapon and an integral part of the ongoing genocide that has claimed the lives of tens of thousands of civilians.
The Observatory explained in a statement that the “starvation war” waged by the occupation is causing the slow death of thousands of lives, especially among children and the elderly, noting that the report reflects a sharp deterioration compared to the IPC report issued last October.
