Sana’a – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
Sana’a commemorated the anniversary of the Saudi-Emirati war on Yemen amid great tension prevailing in the region due to the ongoing American-Israeli-Iranian war.
The head of the Supreme Political Council in Sana’a, Mahdi Al-Mashat, delivered a speech on the eve of the eleventh anniversary of the launch of the first Saudi-Emirati air attacks on Sana’a, which falls on March 26.
Al-Mashat called on Saudi Arabia to respond effectively to the requirements of peace in deed, not just in word, and to proceed towards what serves the interests of both countries, away from linking it to the interests of others, in reference to American pressure on Riyadh to prevent it from rapprochement with Sana’a.
Al-Mashat also called on the Kingdom to expedite the implementation of agreements leading towards achieving comprehensive and lasting peace and to fulfill its requirements, accusing Riyadh of procrastinating in implementing the truce entitlements. He said that Riyadh reneged on its commitments to implement the truce terms and proceed with the agreed-upon roadmap.
He added that Saudi Arabia, backed by America, is procrastinating in implementing the roadmap and paying salaries from the wealth of the Yemeni people and insists on maintaining the siege and economic sanctions.
Al-Mashat continued, warning Saudi Arabia, “We affirm that the patience of the Yemeni people will not be endless, and they are about to extract their rights in the way they see fit,” pledging to extract all rights fully and without deficiency, according to his expression.
Al-Mashat reiterated Sana’a’s position of standing with “Muslim” Iran and supporting its right to self-defense against the American-Zionist aggressor.
