Marine insurance companies refuse to cover Saudi ships amid continued Yemeni blockade
Marine insurance companies have refused to provide quotes for new coverage for Saudi-linked ships transiting the Red Sea, according to what Reuters quoted from insurance market sources on Tuesday.
Exclusive Follow-ups – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
The agency quoted sources in marine brokerage as saying that intelligence assessments have raised the risk level concerning Saudi ships to its highest levels, following the announcement by the Yemeni Armed Forces of imposing a comprehensive naval blockade on Saudi navigation.
This comes as the Armed Forces in Sana’a continue to impose the naval blockade on Saudi navigation, based on the “siege-for-siege” equation, which Sana’a affirms will continue until the Saudi siege imposed on the Yemeni people since March 2015 is ended.
