The Iranian Khatam Al-Anbiya Air Defense Headquarters announced the downing of “4 hostile drones during the day,” a field development reflecting the escalation of aerial confrontation and the intensification of monitoring and interception operations inside Iranian airspace.
Follow-ups – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
The headquarters explained that “3 drones” were shot down in the skies of the city of Shiraz in the south of the country, while a “fourth drone was downed in northwestern Iran,” with no recorded damage on the ground.
This announcement complements what the Iranian Army had previously revealed about the downing of “two MQ-9 drones,” belonging to the US and “Israel,” while they were carrying out espionage missions inside national airspace, where they were detected and tracked before being destroyed.
Thus, “the total announced tally during the day rises to 4 drones,” an indicator of “the expanding scope of aerial infiltrations and reconnaissance attempts,” against the backdrop of raising the Iranian defense readiness level.
Military authorities confirmed that the downing operations were carried out within the “joint air defense command and control system,” which relies on an integrated network for early monitoring and immediate engagement with hostile targets, stressing the continuation of “protecting the airspace and confronting any threat.”
This escalation comes amid the continuation of war and regional tension, as “aerial attacks” are increasing, in parallel with Iranian responses that include targeting military sites and bases of the US and “Israel” in the region.
