Trump justifies retreat before Tehran with it s not our money An American admission of the victory of Iran s terms and the fall of Washington s arrogance
The recent statements by US President Donald Trump regarding the release of frozen Iranian assets constituted an explicit implicit admission of the defeat of the power policy and the fall of the American arrogance mindset that has long characterized Washington’s international behavior, especially in Gaza and other files.
Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
Trump’s justification came during a press conference on the sidelines of the G7 summit on Wednesday, attempting to cover up the extent of submission to Tehran’s condition of reclaiming its funds as an essential part of the “Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding” to end the war.
Trump tried to circumvent the decline scene by making an artificial difference between giving Iran American money and releasing its assets, telling reporters, “We got a lot of their money.” It’s not our money; it’s their money, and we froze it at a specific time. I think we will have to return it.”
The analytical reading of this statement confirms that the US, which does not recognize rights and laws internationally but moves with a mindset of hegemony and arrogance, would not have returned this money without Iranian strength and deterrence that forced the American administration to descend from the tree of preconditions and sign a path to lift the naval blockade and sanctions.
In an attempt to save face and conceal the scale of the Iranian victory, Trump linked the provision of additional funds or allowing foreign investments to the extent of commitment to the agreement, claiming that sanctions would have brought Iran to “extreme poverty” to prevent it from rebuilding. He also reiterated that his country will not contribute to the $300 billion reconstruction fund, defending his vice president “J.D. Vance” by pointing out that the supposed funding for this fund will be borne by the Gulf countries and not Washington.
