The Government Media Office in Gaza stated that Israeli occupation forces continue to blatantly and systematically violate the ceasefire agreement, noting that they have committed more than 282 violations since the agreement came into effect.
In a statement issued Monday evening, the office added that “the occupation’s violations included 88 shooting incidents directly targeting civilians, 12 incursions into residential neighborhoods, 124 shelling and targeting operations, in addition to 52 demolitions of civilian buildings and the arrest of 23 Palestinians in various areas of the Gaza Strip.”
The office condemned these “repeated acts of aggression,” holding the occupation fully responsible for their humanitarian and security repercussions, and emphasizing that “their continuation constitutes a clear threat to the spirit of the agreement and a violation of the occupation’s obligations to the international community and the guarantor states.”
The office called on US President Donald Trump, the guarantor states, and the mediators to “assume their responsibilities and exert real pressure on the occupation to compel it to immediately cease its violations and adhere to the terms of the agreement.”
The statement also called for “the complete and permanent opening of the crossings to facilitate the entry of food, medical, and commercial aid, and the opening of the Rafah crossing to evacuate more than 22,000 wounded and sick individuals in need of over half a million surgical procedures that local medical teams are unable to perform given the worsening humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip.”
The statement further called for the urgent delivery of shelter materials, including tents, blankets, and tarpaulins, in anticipation of the onset of winter, to prevent further suffering for the more than 2.4 million Palestinians living in dire humanitarian conditions in the Gaza Strip.
