Israeli forces continue their attacks on southern Lebanon

On Wednesday, Israeli forces continued their attacks on areas and towns in southern Lebanon, carrying out bombings, artillery shelling, and machine gun fire.

The Lebanese National News Agency reported that Israeli forces targeted the towns of Mansouri and Majdal Zoun in the western sector, in addition to conducting machine gun fire towards the town of Beit al-Sayyad.

Artillery shelling also struck the outskirts of the towns of Haddatha and Baraachit, coinciding with attacks on the Araish area, located between the towns of Haris and Haddatha in the Bint Jbeil district. Intermittent artillery fire was also reported in the vicinity of the town of Shaqra and Wadi al-Salouqi.

It is worth noting that Lebanon and Israel signed a framework agreement last June, brokered by the United States, stipulating security arrangements that include the gradual deployment of the Lebanese army and the withdrawal of Israeli forces, along with measures related to reconstruction and economic recovery. However, the implementation of the agreement’s provisions continues to face obstacles.
