Israeli fears of a rift in the alliance confronting Ansar Allah in Yemen

A Hebrew newspaper expressed Israeli fears about the impact of the division between Saudi Arabia and the UAE on fracturing the alliance confronting the Ansar Allah movement in Yemen, which has become one of the most prominent adversaries of the occupation entity in the arena.

The “Jerusalem Post” published an analysis highlighting what it described as the deep fracture in the structure of the alliance opposing Ansar Allah, or those it describes as the “Houthis,” in Yemen.
It pointed out that the “escalating disagreements between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the UAE are now threatening to dismantle the unified front against the Houthis at a critical time as the region braces for a potential confrontation between Washington and Iran.”
The analysis stated that “the coalition structure that once united Gulf forces against the Houthis is now fragmented, easing coordinated pressure on the group to its lowest levels since the start of its campaign in the Red Sea.”
The newspaper quoted analysts saying that “the Houthis are the biggest beneficiaries of these divisions within the ‘legitimacy camp,’ which has ended up with three separate military structures within that camp instead of a unified army.”
The newspaper addressed Saudi moves to undermine the influence of Emirati-backed forces in the southern provinces in recent weeks.
It confirmed that “the Houthis have exploited this strategic vacuum to enhance their military and security control along the Yemeni coast, occupying positions around the Bab Al-Mandeb Strait and the neighboring islands.”
Citing the military media of Sana’a’s forces broadcasting footage of previous operations against oil tankers, with a clear threat message that “what is coming will be greater,” the newspaper understood this as a threat to resume attacks on commercial ships as a US aircraft carrier group enters the region.
