Israeli escalation in southern Lebanon

The weekend witnessed an Israeli escalation on the ground, marked by the detonation of more than one suicide drone on the rooftops of four houses in the town of Mefdoun, some of which were inhabited, without causing any injuries. Meanwhile, the area between the towns of Zawtar al-Sharqiyah and Mefdoun was subjected to intermittent enemy artillery shelling.

Israeli warplanes also targeted the area between the towns of Nabatieh al-Fawqa and Kfar Tebnit. An Israeli drone fired a guided missile at the Kfar Tebnit-Nabatieh roundabout.

Israeli warplanes launched an airstrike on the Wadi al-Hujair area towards the town of Ghandouriyeh, near olive groves where residents were harvesting their crops. No injuries were reported.

In a related development, Israeli drones flew at very low altitudes over several houses in the towns of Toulene, Deir Kifa, and Haddatha, conducting aerial reconnaissance and surveillance operations at an altitude of approximately one meter. One drone was seen approaching the balcony of a house in Toulene to within striking distance of its residents.
