International reports reveal the scale of Saudi Arabia s predicament in oil export operations through the Red Sea
Exclusive Follow-ups – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
International economic and maritime reports have indicated that Saudi Arabia has begun employing oil tankers operated by South Korean, Greek, and Norwegian companies to transport crude from Yanbu port, with the aim of exporting it through Mediterranean ports.
Bloomberg agency explained that Saudi Arabia’s resort to these tankers and the adoption of a longer maritime route away from Bab Al-Mandeb comes in an attempt to avoid the risks of Yemeni attacks and military operations.
In the same context, data from the specialized maritime magazine “Lloyd’s List” confirmed a notable decline in the number of oil tanker visits to Yanbu port, due to fear of Yemeni attacks.
Sana’a forces had announced about a month ago the imposition of a blockade on Saudi navigation in the Red Sea, in response to the siege that Saudi Arabia has imposed on Yemen for several years.
