An international expectation of weakening the Israeli economy with Yemen s decision to ban air navigation

The Israeli economic index recorded a new decline on Saturday, amid expectations of its weakness in light of the escalating tension with Yemen.

The Standard Poor’s rating agency announced that the Israeli economy is in a negative outlook for the future, with a rating of “A.”
This is the third time the international agency has re-evaluated the Israeli economy since the beginning of the current year.
The new rating of the economy, which was considered the strongest in the region, came with the return of tension in light of Yemen’s decision to ban air navigation, one of the most important sources of national income for the occupation.
The agency stated in a statement that the new rating decision reflects the risk that the conflict with the Israeli occupation may significantly weaken its public finances and balance of payments.
Yemen had launched a new phase of escalation against the occupation at the beginning of last week, which included a ban on air navigation, months after succeeding in banning maritime navigation to the occupation’s ports.
The shares of air transport and insurance companies recorded a decline with the decision of dozens of airlines to cancel their flights to Ben Gurion Airport with the repetition of Yemeni operations against the most important international airport.
