Israeli warplanes launched a series of airstrikes from Wednesday evening until midnight on Thursday, targeting homes and apartments in the Shati refugee camp west of Gaza City, the Palestine Square area east of the city, and a house in the Bureij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip.

Field sources reported that the first airstrike targeted a house belonging to the Shamiya family in the Karam Maslaha area south of the Shati camp, injuring seven people. The second airstrike targeted a house belonging to the Abu Shamala family near the Qouqa roundabout north of the camp, injuring two people. According to local sources, the Abu Shamala house belongs to the family of the wife of journalist and Al Jazeera Mubasher correspondent Mohammed Washah, who was assassinated by Israeli forces about two months ago in an airstrike while he was inside his vehicle.

The third airstrike targeted a house in the Bureij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip. Residents received a warning to evacuate approximately 20 minutes before the attack, which involved several missiles, resulting in the house’s destruction.
