Within half an hour Iran strikes an important industrial facility belonging to the occupation and several sensitive sites
Large areas in the south of the occupied Palestinian territories witnessed a significant escalation this evening, with Iran launching three waves of missiles in less than half an hour, targeting the areas of Dimona, Beersheba, and Tel Aviv, according to reports by Israeli media.
Follow-up – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
Hebrew “Channel 12” reported that one of the strikes hit an important industrial facility in the Negev region, where a missile landed in the industrial zone in Beersheba, damaging several sites, with initial reports of secondary explosions inside the targeted facility.
In the same context, the “Israeli Home Front Command” warned of a possible chemical leak resulting from what it described as a “dangerous targeting” on a sensitive facility in the Negev, while Hebrew media described the situation as “dangerous,” given the nature of the targeted site.
The “Israeli Fire and Rescue Authority” also announced that a leak of hazardous materials had been detected at the site, while media reports indicated a leak of “carbon disulfide” from the “Neot Hofav” facility, a substance considered hazardous to the environment and health.
For its part, “Channel 12” explained that the pollution was also caused by fragments from the interception strikes colliding with gas pipes inside the facility, which exacerbated the danger in the area, while the Israeli “Broadcasting Authority” reported that around “100 homes in Beersheba were damaged after a rocket struck the city.”
The rocket strikes coincided with the sounding of air-raid sirens in Jerusalem and its surroundings amidst a state of widespread alert, at a time when this escalation comes within the context of the Iranian response to the ongoing Israeli-American attacks through the targeting of sites within the occupied territories and American bases in the region.
