Al Houthi Saudi Arabia seeks to subjugate and starve the Yemeni people through siege and plunder of its wealth and this is unacceptable

The leader of the Ansar Allah movement, Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi, accused the Saudi regime of continuing to tighten the siege on Yemen over the past years with the aim of subjugating the Yemeni people and starving them through siege and plundering wealth, indicating that Riyadh escalated its economic measures concurrently with Sana’a’s engagement in supporting the Palestinians during the “Al-Aqsa Flood” battle, within the framework of the “American plan supporting Israel.”

Al-Houthi said in a televised speech today that the Yemeni people “are among the most suffering and targeted peoples by the Saudi regime through the aggression and siege imposed on the country for nearly 12 years.”
He pointed out that Yemenis have not felt any humanitarian relief even during the de-escalation phase, although that was supposed to reflect on living conditions.
He added that at the time Sana’a was engaged in efforts to support the Palestinian people during the Al-Aqsa Flood battle, Saudi Arabia moved “in the opposite direction” by tightening the siege on the Yemeni people, serving the American and Israeli interests.
Al-Houthi indicated that Riyadh “seeks to impose a situation in Yemen similar to what Palestinians suffer in the Gaza Strip,” by complicating the entry of basic goods and prolonging their arrival procedures, which drives their prices to what he described as “fanciful” levels amid deteriorating economic conditions.
He noted that Yemen is deprived of exploiting its natural resources, saying that about 90 million barrels of oil annually and large gas wealth are not benefiting the people. It has also been deprived of benefiting from the gas plant in Marib and the revenues that could have been allocated to paying salaries and funding basic services, holding Saudi Arabia and the US responsible for that.
