Follow-ups – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
Israeli media reports have revealed that work is secretly progressing on a railway project to link the UAE with Israel, despite the aggression on Gaza.
Hebrew Channel 15 reported that work on building the railway line continued secretly during the war and has reached advanced stages.
On the other hand, the Hebrew newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth confirmed that talks regarding the “Peace Railway” project between the UAE and “Israel” have resumed.
According to the newspaper, Israeli Transportation Minister “Miri Regev” traveled last week on an unannounced visit to the UAE, where she met her counterparts, and the meeting centered on discussing the details of the railway project.
“Yedioth Ahronoth” explained that the planned route involves importing goods from India to the port of Abu Dhabi, then transporting them via a high-speed train passing through Dubai, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan, ultimately arriving at the port of Haifa, from where they would then be distributed to Europe and the US.
The report also stated that the meeting resulted in an agreement to establish a joint administration between train officials in both countries, which will supervise the passage of trains between them.
The two sides also agreed to study the possibility of adding a crossing south of the Dead Sea alongside the existing Beisan crossing to avoid what the reports described as “political problems.”
