The Hebrew newspaper “Globes” revealed that the Ministry of Transport of the occupation is studying a decision to open “Ben Gurion” Airport as a base for foreign airlines to park their planes at the airport with the aim of reducing flight prices.
Follow-ups – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
The meeting at the Ministry of Transport regarding the opening of “Ben Gurion” Airport as a base for foreign airlines ended with the director of the Civil Aviation Authority leaving angrily due to concerns for “Israeli” companies.
Earlier, the Hebrew newspaper “The Marker” reported that 64 global airlines have so far refused to resume their flights to Israeli airspace, reflecting the deep impact these measures have had on the Israeli air transport sector.
According to the report, Israeli air traffic has experienced a sharp contraction, with the number of airlines operating in Israel decreasing to only 36 compared to more than 100 before the outbreak of the war, while “Ben Gurion” Airport has suffered significant losses with the loss of about a third of the number of passengers who used it previously.
