Hebrew Newspaper Israel fears a Yemeni Al Aqsa Flood
The Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth said that the security establishment has monitored a notable development in Yemen’s military capabilities, particularly in the domains of defense and self-manufacturing, adding that it is closely monitoring what it described as the “Al-Aqsa Flood plan—Sana’a version.”
Follow-ups – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
The newspaper mentioned that Yemeni forces have made progress in producing drones and long-range missiles by leveraging external expertise and local technical support, in addition to utilizing tunnels and underground sites for manufacturing and storing weapons, which has been viewed as an evolution in the “self-defense” model through the establishment of secret factories in remote areas.
Yedioth indicated that the Israeli Military Intelligence Division established two new units to deal with what it described as the challenge of the Ansar Allah movement, noting that the Israeli plan includes studies and training to deal with scenarios of a large-scale attack similar to the October 7, 2023 attack, which could be launched from Jordan, Syria, or from multiple directions simultaneously.
The newspaper pointed out that the threat is not limited to missile and drone attacks alone but also includes local manufacturing capabilities and expanded capacities that facilitate launching more regular and effective attacks, which prompted the army to warn decision-makers of the risks associated with armed groups acquiring a large stockpile of precision missiles.
Yedioth quoted military officials stating that Ansar Allah’s reaching prospects that would enable it to possess thousands of precision missiles would pose an existential threat to Israel, and that dealing with this danger requires an urgent review of monitoring and interception systems, as well as preparedness for multiple and prolonged scenarios.
