Hebrew Media Houthi drones embarrass Israel s advanced systems

The “Jerusalem Post” published an extensive report addressing the “Houthis’ continued targeting of Israel’s soft underbelly” via drone attacks, highlighting defensive gaps in Israel’s systems, particularly in the city of Eilat.
The Hebrew newspaper stated that the drones, despite their simplicity and low cost, have proven capable of inflicting significant damage. Their small size and weak radar signature allow them to infiltrate advanced defense systems.
The newspaper indicated that the Houthis have recently focused on Eilat. With each attack, hundreds of thousands of Israelis are forced into shelters. Furthermore, in recent weeks, the Houthis have managed to hit Ramon Airport once and resort areas twice.
According to the newspaper, although Israel had bolstered its defenses in Eilat since the start of the war, the length of the conflict and change in field crews allowed the Houthis to exploit the gaps, in addition to benefiting from continuous monitoring of the performance of defense systems.
The Jerusalem Post concludes that the radical solution remains ending the war itself.
