Following warnings from the Iranian Revolutionary Guard ships leave UAE ports
Maritime navigation monitoring platforms and websites reported on Sunday evening that ships were leaving UAE ports after receiving orders from the Iranian Revolutionary Guard.
Exclusive Follow-ups – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
The data shows ships leaving the anchorages of Ras Al Khaimah and Saqr Port off the UAE coast.
It quoted a captain of a ship that was anchored in Ras Al Khaimah as saying that they received calls from the Iranian Revolutionary Guard via VHF asking them to immediately move their ships from their berths in Saqr Port and Ras Al Khaimah to another location.
It indicated that the Revolutionary Guard’s warning to the captains and ship owners stated that they would bear responsibility if they didn’t comply with the orders.
This comes concurrently with the continued American military mobilization to the region and US President Donald Trump’s announcement of a new military operation to forcibly open the Strait of Hormuz, at a time when Abu Dhabi has revealed increased military coordination with the Israeli occupation entity.
