European mission reveals Israeli U S navigation ban in the Red Sea
On Sunday, the European Military Mission in the Red Sea published updates on the navigation situation in the Red Sea, coinciding with expectations that Yemen will escalate its operations.
Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
The mission, known as “ASPIDS,” reported that ships linked to America and Israel should avoid transiting through the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden, confirming that the passage is open to other vessels.
The mission anticipated that those it described as “Houthis” would launch attacks against ships affiliated with the two allies in the aggression against Iran.
The European announcement came even though Sana’a has not yet announced its next move as it officially enters the conflict.
Yemeni forces are launching ground operations deep inside Israel, having launched two waves of attacks since Saturday morning that included both ballistic missiles and drones.
Yemen’s decision regarding navigation in the Red Sea is expected to be linked to developments in the conflict, according to a previous statement by Yemeni forces.
It remains unclear whether the European warning resulted from an official notification or was merely a prediction.
Yemen had previously targeted dozens of ships, including American and Israeli ones, during the Gaza support operations that began in November 2023 and ended months ago after the occupation and America yielded to demands to lift the blockade and end the aggression against Gaza.
