Emirati concern over the Muslim Brotherhood and Houthi alliance with a Qatari call for a tripartite alliance including Yemen

The UAE expressed concern over a Qatari call for a tripartite alliance including Yemen and Saudi Arabia.

Abu Dhabi pushed the southern elites loyal to it to attack the Qatari academic Mohammed Al-Misfer.
Most prominent among those is Hani Mas’hour, the Hadhrami media figure residing in Abu Dhabi, whom the UAE recently pushed to the forefront of the scene as part of an arrangement for a media battle against Saudi Arabia.
Mas’hour didn’t hide his concern that Qatar might broker a reconciliation between the Ansar Allah movement “Houthis” and the Islah Party, the Muslim Brotherhood branch in Yemen. Mas’hour is one of several Emirati elites and others affiliated with it who launched a scathing attack on Al-Misfer in an unprecedented manner.
Al-Misfer, who teaches at Qatar University, appeared in a new “podcast” urging the establishment of a tripartite alliance including his country, Saudi Arabia, and Yemen.
He justified this by stating that Saudi Arabia is a financial power and Yemen is a human power, which qualifies them to announce a new regional bloc.
Al-Misfer’s call came as his country entered the line of confrontation against the UAE in the south and east of Yemen.
Navigational tracking sites showed about 3 flights of Qatari military cargo planes in the last three days between Pakistan and the Sharurah region in Saudi Arabia on the Yemeni border, to reinforce its factions there, with Saudi Arabia ensuring Islah’s control over the new government in Aden.
Qatar maintains strong relations with Ansar Allah despite its significant support for the “Muslim Brotherhood,” which raises Emirati sensitivity over the possibility of its success in reuniting the two banks of Yemen, north and south, away from the Emirati agenda there.
