Eight martyrs in Gaza

The Gaza Strip has witnessed a serious escalation in Israeli airstrikes, in a new violation of the ceasefire agreement, as the occupation forces carried out several violent attacks, including shelling a student gathering inside one of the universities in Gaza City, which led to new casualties, including children. The occupation forces also continued to demolish the remaining residential buildings in areas beyond the ‘yellow line,’ amid fears of further escalation ahead of the Israeli Knesset elections scheduled for next Tuesday. Intense and bloody raids mark a dangerous development in Israeli violations, targeting a student gathering inside the campus of the Islamic University west of Gaza City, resulting in the martyrdom of three citizens. Local reports stated that the martyrs were Sami Baward, Ashraf Dahlan, and Shadi Abu Ataya. The raid also left several students with varying injuries, while the university administration suspended both administrative and academic activities to ensure the safety of students and staff. The Islamic University, like other universities in Gaza, had suffered significant destruction due to Israeli air raids and shelling since the beginning of the war.
